**This blog is Deprecated and is no longer updated** Not just a weight loss blog!! The Times and Trials (and ramblings) of a fat, divorced Daddy of two, trying to keep it together, lose weight and make a living. P.S. This is an outpouring of my thoughts, so grammar and punctuation take a back seat to that. You have been warned!!!
I noticed that by cooking for yourself & your family you actually took in WAY less calories than on a normal day!
ReplyDeleteHow did it feel? my wife says that she's less prone to overeating having prepared food from scratch.
I guess we take food for granted if it's "there on a plate" as it were (meaning containers, street corners etc).
The fish looked simple & tasty!
Try the sprats!
How come you don't like roast potatoes RJ? ..I don't like the squishy oily ones, however as we tend to roast potatoes in with veg, squash, honey glazed carrots etc It becomes more of a vegetable meal, So I never mind piling my plate witha bit more than usual.
Try to buy fresh broccoli heads, SO much tastier & easier to have a munch on than soggy frozen veg.
I also eat raw broccoli nowaday (no I can't believe it either) however with a "low-ish" blue cheese or onion dip I tend to eat my weight in veg given the opportunity, ..got the entire family doing it now! ..a restaurant isn't so bad a place to visit if you start with crudites, which naturally fill you up, then I tend to order a smaller meal anyhow!
(possible nightmare for the restaurant staff however good for me, & that's what counts).
BTW cooking request for home-made healthy pizza!
& boy oh boy towards halloween you better be roasting some pumpkin!
Lastly for tonight... I still drink semi-skimmed nesquik milk, it keeps me off the beer to a large degree, caffeine filled pepsi-max & settles my stomach, it's one of my sweet treats, (typically a good 3/4 pint every now & again, powder variant not the liquid sugar version, seems less sweet to me.
I'll often drink it last thing at night when hungry.
