Big Fat Update

So, I haven't posted in a while, mostly, because I have been focusing on work. However, I figured it was time to follow up on some previous entries.

Arkansas Rehab is STILL processing my application. They had initially declined me on the basis that I could not provide them with a letter from a nutritionist stating that they recommended myfitnesspal.com to me. The problem is that I didn't see a nutritionist. I sent a strongly worded email to the regional director of the program outlining the comorbidities that go along with my weight. All of which they have medical records on that prove I suffer from them. I explained that if he could live with himself for declining based on such a trivial thing after almost a year of testing, and doctor's letters, then so be it. I then asked for an immediate response on my application so that I make other arrangements.

A couple of weeks later, I got a phone call from the folks down there and they informed me that the application had been re-opened and they asked for a letter from my doctor instead of a nutritionist. I got the letter for them, and got it to them last week. I am now waiting to hear back from them.

I was really surprised, but at the same time, I am so tired of them jerking me around. However, if I get the surgery, it will be well worth it.

My book is sitting at about 150 pages, and I have been stuck for over a month. I haven't forgotten about it, and neither have the beta readers. They are bugging me to give them new material, and I have no clue what I want to happen next. I need some inspiration. A muse would be nice.

The job is going well, every week I feel more and more comfortable. They are going to have to drag me out kicking and screaming before I leave that place. First time I have ever had a job that I look forward to, and enjoy while I'm there.

Adelaide is just about finished with her heartworm treatments, and she is doing well.

I have my dating life on hold currently until I figure out what the hell is going on with the surgery, so no funny stories or anecdotes to tell you. Sorry!

I'll let you guys know when I hear something on the surgery.
