Things are looking better....

Well, aside from the fact that it's 4AM things seem to be going fairly well.Tonight was night 4 with no paxil. The only side effect that I am really noticing is "brain zaps". These can be very disheartening, but I'm trying to hang in there. Amanda says she can tell a difference in my demeanor, but I honestly don't feel it. The only thing I feel are brain zaps. I have been taking omega 3 fatty acids, and I ordered some L-Tryptophan to help with sleep and seratonin levels.
Since I have felt decent, I have been doing some Vlogging, so I expect to have a new video up late tomorrow, or early Thursday. I have just been trying to take it easy, and stay away from stress while the withdrawal process wraps up. I have also been drinking ALOT of water. I bought a new water bottle, and I named it "Gus" for reasons obvious to only a few people. So its like.."baby, will you fill Gus up for me" lol.
I called the doc today to see about getting a refill on my ambien, and I think I am going to start taking it nightly until I get things back to normal. I have got to start going to bed at a decent hour. This sleep schedule of 5-12 is killing me. Anyhow, I just wanted to check in to let you guys know that I'm still kicking, and its getting better every day!

  1. RJ seratonin takes time to build up, but it's a positive to be looking for seratonin based foods, as far as i'm aware it takes around (ish) 6 weeks of seratonin tablets to noticeably bump it up, so hope yours were high to start off with?

Hmm don't know whether i'd've named something you stick to your lips after me, ...the wife states that i'm full of "piss & wind"
Anyway congrats on the bottle, you do get into a rythm but boy will that bladder stretch initially, however flushing & maintaining your body with water, means you are probably flushing out crap like gall stones or at least keeping them at bay!
...Bananas sweetness & seratonin content for me are a good reason to actually chow down on some big fat pancakes, I allow myself them with the maple etc, it's a fix that's offsetting itself by introducing good fruit that may be otherwise ignored.
It's also damn cheap, we have it once or more per wek often as supper! ...raspberries are exceptionally good cooked in with pancakes too, so think onward as to making your diet do-able without being a martyr & torturing yourself.
2 decent bananas a pile of pancakes & a bit of what you fancy! ..go for it, far less processed than so many other foods, egg, flour milk / water... topping fruit!

whats not to like! ..(i do leave the icecream to the kid, however if eating ice cream consider a banana split,...de-damn-licious!

..oh damn those banana skins are looking a bit needy ....PANCAKKKKES!!!

    * also it's good as an eating out treat if we're out early morning & I neither want to doze off from a full on fry up & feet bloaty.

When Snowboarding it's pretty much Pancakes with fruit every day or a 3 egg omlette with peppers, my power breakfast, even if out for a month & so

  2. if you feel like you are putting the work in an omlette or pancakes (with fruit / veg) could almost be considered a positive meal from time to time, far easier to process than a gutful of meat too, however if you do feel the need for a slab of meat try buying some decent "bangers" sausages, so many varieties these days, with stilton being one of my saviours for cutting down my meat intake (or regulating it), a good banger! ..we eat far more meat than is good for us & it pretty much sits & rots, not good when trying not to be lethargic & reduce the actual size of the stomach internally, we're not talking frankfurters but "links" I guess you'd call em! ..pancakes optional!

Good luck with the water, ..& when you cannot bear another drop leave it a day or two, ...my bottle is like having a cigarette in my hands, ...it becomes a good sort of habit though.
..admittedly you may be pulling up on the freeway to relieve yourself against the inner wheel arch from time to time but hey! (lol)
don't force it too much sip, quaff glug, but don't bloat yourself!
There are (should) be plenty of little sugar free sachet flavours in the grocery store, we use em on the mountain, wife swears by em tiny straw things, do around 500ml perhaps try that sort of thing for some flavour relief depending on how good your water is round your way!

mines limescale hard water, but used to it as long as it's fresh! ...after all these years i've only just got into properly chilled.

Incidentally, did you manage to find any balsamic vinegar? remember as an acid (it's a really sweet vinegar & a cheap one will be lovely if you've never had it before, it helps knock back fat molecules, ..I used to have a party trick of drinking a 1/2 pint, which I don't suggest following, but asides from that it's great livening up pies, fries, roasts... probably good with pulled pork too! ..about the only thing I don't use it on is sushi... no idea why!

Your body seems to be changing its take on fast rich sloppy foods already (as per the restraunt blog you did) ..so take it easy with your diet from here on in.

Myself, last few days havew been a walk in the park (sic) simple noodles yesterday forgot to eat. & today mopping up what was in the fridge, sandwiches with various fillings, total 4 slices thick multigrain. & a packet of chips /crisps.
& alot of water, not even trying just finding that the body slows in summer naturally if we listen to it.
For me doing the rice thing really pads me out & after a few days it's like the body stops yearnign for a while (luckily i enjoy rice alot).
Think what has happened to me is like the japanese prisoners of war, they ate so much rice that after all these years alot of (the guys, sick of it as they were then) couldn't eat rich or dense food in excess once their bodies had recovered, old 91 yr old is still eating it 4-5 meals per week all these years later.
So my rice days are coming up, (i've just had to get another 15kg to top up my bags of it.
After taking all those pills for god knows how long, you may have stripped your stomach lining out a bit & junkfood doesnt help it either, so bag yourself so Acidophillus / lactobacilli (yakult drink) or kids tablets of the acidophillus, should really help bring your guts bacteria back online & help you out.
