Arts and Crafts For The Win!!!!!

  1. Ok RJ, & this isn't to pick on you it's to try & keep your mind on the gameplan!

Starting as the 1st blog date 15th March to the end of April there are no less than 30 missing food dates in your diary.
IF we are to take this as a 25 + 25 star jumps & push ups since that time you have accrued..
1500 exercise motions to get on an even keel (no I didn't count May 1st ..yet).
That also included some lee-way on part started?? food plans.

Note i'm talking food plan here not exercise, I hear what you say about backs etc..
However as oft repeated some form of brisk exercise needs to be taken to maintain what you've got if not to build up on your exercise.
It's a bold statement to say you will do the 25 +25 for each day not covered...
But look at how much is already missing.
I suggest we look at what is in your realm of current capability, & old son! ..sitting in a chair that doesn't promote as good back poture isn't going to help you out of poor back posture.
    So.. Question time.
How many hours are you burning on xbox?
Are you seated & slouched or upright & standing (who knows, I tend to stand but thats due to injury myself).
In other words think smart there as well!
    Now onto exercise.
IF we forgo (& i'm not saying we should) the lack of filling in & awareness that filling in food & diet plans help with, & start at the point you bravely said about star jumps & push up's then you are already accrueing a good amount that also needs to be done.
So do you want to start now or wait more days & fill it in one or two big bursts?
    Probably not! ..who would!?
therefore what can pass for do-able exercise in terms of chores, physical labour is obviously what we used to do & enough to keep us fit before we overate & led more sedentary lifestyles.

When Amanda mentioned how you chew through controller batteries like theres no tomorrow that got me really riled up!

Why? it indicates way more hours than are good for anyone & so much concentration on the screen & game not much else, plus extended use just makes your brain tired.
I replace my 360 batterys around once every 3 months, they are 2500 / 2500 rechargeables & that allows for MANY hours on games.
So please count your hours on it & give us some idea how much of your week go's on that, I think it's a good indicator of the overall problem.

can you not use it as a reward system for a while till you get back into a fitness groove?

How much time do you think you are on the xbox?
How much actual; time on the xbox?

I'm also concerned that in your videos we never see you with a bottle of water bearing in mind how much you are trying to drink are you achieving this? or is it being left behind too?
Unless you have a sipping bottle to hand (no a crappy plastic one) you won't take drafts from it, plus of course it vaguely plugs hunger & is good for overall body & brain activity.
I either use cold tap water or weak juice when I simply cannot stand the plainness of it any longer.
you need to be doing something there though.

Suggestion get a decent aluminum bottle with a heat cover to assist keeping it coolish longer)
try & kick the plastic "disposable" bottles within your household as part of the effort, the bottles very quickly become habit!

& besides plastic bottles aint good for eostrogen in our system - ie man-boobs amongst other stuff.

a challenge for the whole family!

To be honest i'd prefer not to see you struggle with push ups etc on video, I would like to see you psyche up to basic exercise that doesn't involve setting foot in a gym.

even moving boxes around & working up a sweat is a vague form of exercise, so don't discount stuff you do, log so you know you've done something!

    ..wow, long post!
